Become an NNPBC member

Nurses and Nurse Practitioners of BC is the professional association for all four nursing designations in BC. Membership connects you to advocacy, education and practical tools that strengthen your practice and your voice.

Become a member for the 2026-27 membership year!

NNPBC's new membership year officially starts April 1, but sign-up begins on Feb. 1, 2026 so you can create or renew your NNPBC membership at the same time as you register with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives. For those not registering with BCCNM, you can sign up directly on our website.

Annual membership fees for 2026-27 are $64 for all members.

Registering with BCCNM this year?

If you’re registering with BCCNM between Feb. 1 and Mar. 31, just opt in to NNPBC membership during the registration process. Doing both together is quick and also gives you a discounted rate on Professional Liability Protection (PLP), which is required for RNs, RPNs and NPs.

Instructions:

  1. Start your annual registration renewal with BCCNM
  2. When prompted, select Nurses and Nurse Practitioners of BC (NNPBC) for membership
  3. Your NNPBC membership and CNPS PLP group rate will be processed together at your time of registration with BCCNM
  4. You will later receive an email directly from NNPBC with information about your membership

Please note: Even though you can sign up for both at the same time, NNPBC membership is distinct from registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM). Registration with BCCNM is required to practice. Membership with NNPBC is voluntary and focuses on supporting you and the profession.

Not registering with BCCNM this year?

Until March 31, only nurses and NPs who are not registering with BCCNM can sign up for or renew their membership on the NNPBC website.

  1. Those who aren’t registering with BCCNM can register directly on the NNPBC site
  2. Log in or create an account
  3. Choose your membership category
  4. Complete payment to activate your membership

Membership fees

For the 2026-27 membership year (beginning April 1, 2026), it costs $64, including GST to be an NNPBC member.

This amount is paid all at once.
